2022 is an election year in Brazil and the country goes through one of the most tense political moments in its history. More than ever, we needed to mobilize the population. Especially youngsters who got disappointed with recent governments, had increasingly distanced themselves from politics.

The number of new teenagers registered to vote dropped 82% in a decade. This is a real problem for the Brazilian democracy that could have serious consequences for the country’s future. But how do you talk about politics to an audience where the clothes they wear matter more than who they vote for?

MPSP, the prosecution office of São Paulo, has been working for years supervising elections and teaching the population about politics through its traditional political manual. For this year, we’ve turned this boring material into a limited and exclusive fashion collection. In each outfit, a different law to warn about electoral crimes and teach that every citizen can help monitor candidates.

The collection was launched following the formula of brands beloved by young people: with a photoshoot and the clothes being sent as a gift only to social media influencers, turning the collection into the new internet hype. Something completely outside the world of politics, but totally inside the daily life of young people.
